Digital Publication Global Health Security Agenda ​

Indonesia is hosting the 5th Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) in 2018 attended by 188 countries. This activity was under the Ministry of Health and aimed to discuss cooperation and solutions for cross-border health problems, given the high mobility of global populations of the countries.

Indonesia is hosting the 5th Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) in 2018 attended by 188 countries. This activity was under the Ministry of Health and aimed to discuss cooperation and solutions for cross-border health problems, given the high mobility of global populations of the countries.

The challenge was how to convey the results of this meeting’s decision to the public in an interesting way. Considering that such a meeting forum is often judged unattractive, even though its substance includes interests for the community.

 

The Solution​

Publications on mass media for GHSA activities continued to be done conventionally. However, on the other hand digital publications were optimized through a variety of creative content.

At the time of the activity, the Ministry of Health had quite good digital assets. Followers on the Ministry of Health’s Instagram account have reached over 400K and the Ministry of Health’s Twitter account also has more than 150K followers. Thus, Instagram and Twitter were the right channels and were chosen as digital publication channels.

The challenge was, how to increase engagement on these two social media, so that the issue of GHSA could stand out compared to other issues in the Ministry of Health during the activity.

The main thing we did was to create creative content in the form of video and visuals. All policy and decision results were packaged in the form of creative content and activation by creating a one stop video on Instagram stories. In addition, other activities carried out were creating threads on Twitter about the substance of the activity and invited the people’s participation to discuss about GHSA on Twitter.

To increase the credibility of this international activity, creative videos made also involving delegations from various countries.
